After continuous encouragement/begging from my mother, I've decided to give blogging a shot, although I'm pretty confident I'm going to be horrible at it! But here we go anyway!! On Father's Day (June 19th) of this year, Scotty and I found out we are expecting a little one in February 2012. After a year of trying to get pregnant, we were thrilled to finally be blessed with a new member of the family. Because we began fertility treatments in May, I was convinced from the beginning that we were having twins. However, on July 8th (6 weeks), the doctor confirmed that we were having just one baby :). From that point on, I was convinced that we were having a girl, mostly because I kept having dreams about the baby and it was always a girl. However, on August 22nd (13 weeks), Dr. Killeen hinted that he thought the baby was a boy! When we asked when we would know for sure the sex of the baby (since 13 weeks is pretty early to find out the sex), he said, "I think I know now!" Still skeptical I held off on buying boy stuff and painting the nursery until September 6th (15 weeks), when, at my first appointment with Dr. Atkinson (perinatologist - high risk pregnancy doctor) the ultrasound technician confirmed - IT'S A BOY!!!!!!! Upon leaving the doctor's office, Scotty went to buy the giraffe he'd has his eye on for weeks and paint for the nursery! We had discussed baby names for a year even before we got pregnant, so we have been pretty set on Conner for awhile...so as of right now, Baby Boy Bartlett will be known as Conner "soon to be determined middle name" Bartlett!
